Changes in legislation concerning entry into and exit from the Russian Federation.

Dear passengers, we inform you about amendments to the Federal Law "On the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation and entering into the Russian Federation" , as well as about the entry into force of Government Resolution of December 9, 2023 No. 2090.

The present legislation of the Russian Federation determines the procedure for the seizure of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, certifying the identity of a citizen of the Russian Federation outside the territory of the Russian Federation, a diplomatic passport and a service passport that have signs of the presence of inaccurate information and unsuitability for further use, as well as the grounds for the invalidity of documents.

In this regard, passports of citizens of the Russian Federation recognized as invalid on the grounds provided for in subparagraphs 5-11, 14 and 15 of Part One of Article 8.1 of the Federal Law, or presented by a person who is not their owner will be confiscated and sent to the government agency that issued them, in the manner determined by the Government Decree.

We also inform you that the Decrees of the President of the Russian Federation of November 14, 2002 No. 1325 "On approval of the Regulation on the procedure for considering issues of citizenship of the Russian Federation" and of April 13, 2011 No. 444 "On additional measures to ensure the rights and protect the interests of minor citizens of the Russian Federation" have lost force in connection with the publication of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 22, 2023 No. 889 "Issues of citizenship of the Russian Federation"
